Judge Maurice “Mo” Portley

Judge Maurice “Mo” Portley serves on the Arizona Court of Appeals. He formerly served on the Maricopa County Superior Court and was the Presiding Judge of the Southeast Judicial District and the Juvenile Court. A past Chair of SLHI, Judge Portley is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater AZ Puppet Theater, the Editorial Review Board of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the Phoenix Art Museum’s MAC, Valley Leadership, the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, and A Stepping Stone Foundation. He was the recipient of the 2000 Valley Leadership Man of the Year award.
